Trivium s Grammar Stage

The first phase of a classical education is called the “Grammar Stage” because these are the years in which the building blocks for all other learning are laid, just as grammar is the foundation for language.  This period of education is primarily concerned with the learning of facts: rules of phonics, rules of grammar, poems, the stories of history and literature, the facts of mathematics, etc.
